A People Sought After

Self worth is a huge issue and problem our society has been trying to resolve. I've quickly realized the difference between how the world tells us to find our worth and how God leads us to find our worth.

We are called to find worth in our complete inability to be worthy.
We believe that we are naturally born into sin. From the second we take our first breath to the second we let go of our last - we deserve hell. From what we think, to what we say, to how we live, we are consumed and drowning in sin. There is no ounce of worth in our entire being. We have no ability to prevent our sinful nature. There is absolutely nothing we, as human beings, can possibly do to prevent our sinful nature.
" But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." 1 Peter 2:9
Despite our sin, God sought and saved us. Find worth in your redemption.
We belong to a gracious and holy Father who has called each of us to be his Child. We are God's special possession. God has shown His great mercy and has given us the gift of eternal salvation. We are no longer worthless; we are redeemed. God sought His people and sacrificed His only son, so that we may be of worth.
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21
As a unholy, sinful, and unworthy being, God sought you. He called you into righteousness. He called you to be redeemed. He called you to be of worth. Why on earth, would you search anywhere else for "self-worth" when the Creator of the universe called you to be His?! There is no "worth" this world could give that could even compare to the worth your Redeemer has put on you.

Discover and live freely in your self worth as a redeemed child of God.
