A Love that Breaks to Heal.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 8:38-39
His love breaks through all barriers.
It breaks the barrier of depression.
It breaks the barrier of addiction.
It breaks the barrier of ignorance.
It breaks the barrier of disease.
It breaks the barrier of good and evil.
It breaks the barrier of heaven and hell.
It breaks the barrier of the past and the future.
It breaks sin.

The cross is where His love broke all barriers. On the cross, good overcame evil. The greatest sacrifice was offered and all barriers were broken. The curtain in the temple was torn in two and all barriers that existed between men and God were demolished. Through the cross, our sin became forgiven and forgotten. Through the cross, we became the righteousness of God.

His love breaks to heal.

No matter what barrier we tend to build around us or find ourselves in, His love breaks through. We live for a God who stops at nothing to claim His children as loved and redeemed. Even when that barrier can be our own being. God intervenes our brokenness and brings healing. And by His intervention we are saved. We are made whole. We are no longer broken. We are healed. We are renewed - born again.
"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." Romans 6:4
Because Christ conquered the cross, we are able to live freely in the love of Christ. With no expectations of us. Whether you acknowledge it or not, Christ's love breaks barriers for your brokenness. He doesn't require your acknowledgement or permission to receive His healing. His love seeks you. That's the beautiful part of God's love: it's gracefully given. There are no circumstances or barriers that exist in which God cannot nor will not break to love His child.

The heading of the section where Romans 8:38-39 is found is titled "More Than Conquerors." As Christ makes my brokenness whole, I recognize that I am called to be more than a conqueror. I no longer have anything to overcome. Christ has endured that journey for me. He has overcome the world! By His power I am able to now live in the fullness of His grace and healing. There is no brokenness that Christ cannot conquer. There is no brokenness this world has to offer that can prevent God to love me. His love is always abiding, and through that abiding love I become more than a conqueror.

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."  Romans 8:37
